Renault has unveiled the Twingo E-Tech Electric Prototype, a modern reinterpretation of its iconic city car, featuring a reimagined interior that combines modularity with ingenuity.

A Nod to the Original Twingo

The prototype pays homage to the original Twingo’s minimalist design, incorporating a monovolume silhouette and playful lighting elements. Its compact footprint ensures agility in urban settings, while the five-door configuration enhances practicality. A fixed glass roof floods the spacious interior with natural light, embodying Renault’s “voitures à vivre” philosophy.

    Innovative Interior Design

Inside, the Twingo E-Tech Electric Prototype introduces several forward-thinking features:

    • Flexible Seating: The rear seats can be folded flat, creating a level surface that extends the boot space, accommodating larger items with ease.
    • Smart Storage Solutions: The cabin is equipped with multiple storage compartments, including adaptable door bins and a central console, designed to meet the diverse needs of urban drivers.
    • Sustainable Materials: In line with contemporary environmental concerns, the interior utilises eco-friendly materials, reflecting Renault’s commitment to sustainability.

    Technological Advancements

The prototype is equipped with a user-friendly infotainment system that seamlessly integrates with smartphones, providing drivers with access to essential apps and services. Additionally, the vehicle features advanced driver assistance systems designed to enhance safety and convenience during city commutes.

    Looking Ahead

The Twingo E-Tech Electric Prototype offers a glimpse into the future of urban mobility, blending the charm of the original Twingo with modern innovations tailored for today’s urban lifestyle. Renault plans to launch the production version of this electric city car in 2026, with an anticipated starting price below €20,000, aiming to make electric mobility accessible to a broader audience.
