I consume a lot of YouTube content every single day. So much so, it’s the most-watched platform in our house, second only to Netflix. We’ve even reached the point where we no longer watch live TV and have ditched the TV licence entirely.

YouTube has seen phenomenal growth over the past few years. With over 2.7 billion monthly active users as of 2024, the platform remains the go-to choice for on-demand video content. There’s just something about authentic, unscripted content that draws people in—myself included.

As a car enthusiast, the wealth of automotive content on YouTube is astonishing. Whether it’s Matt Armstrong and Tavarish rebuilding wrecked cars and acquiring dream-worthy vehicles, Calvin sharing his entrepreneurial journey in the car trade, or Auto Alex diving into the world of affordable “shitboxes,” there’s something for every petrolhead.

But it’s not just about cars. Channels like Trek Trendy showcase luxurious travel destinations, while Honest Places takes a more down-to-earth approach with options closer to home. These contrasting perspectives, along with everything in between, make YouTube an endlessly fascinating platform.
