The Vauxhall Corsa has been crowned ‘Used Small Car of the Year’ at the Car Dealer Used Car Awards 2024, held at The Brewery in London this week, during a glittering ceremony with hundreds of attendees.

The Car Dealer Used Car Awards, held by Car Dealer Magazine, celebrate excellence across the UK’s used car industry, recognising outstanding achievements by dealers, manufacturers, and associated businesses. Judged by industry experts including Used Car Awards host Mike Brewer, the awards have been spotlighting the top dealers and manufacturers since 2012. This year, more than 30 awards were handed out with Corsa coming out on top in the ‘Used Small Car’ category.

This award win highlights the long-term appeal of the Corsa, which has consistently stood out in the competitive small car segment. A staple of the UK’s used car market, the Vauxhall Corsa offers buyers a wide range of options, from efficient petrol models to the fully electric Corsa Electric. Its compact size, low running costs, and impressive reliability make it a top choice for drivers seeking a balance of value and performance. With its long-standing reputation as one of Britain’s best-selling superminis, the Corsa continues to meet the evolving needs of used car buyers nationwide.

Vauxhall recently introduced revised pricing across its electric car line-up, with the Corsa Electric available from the new, lower starting price of £29,045 for Design trim, with GS and Ultimate versions priced at £31,230 OTR and £33,040 OTR respectively. This new pricing structure means customers can save up to £4,150 on a Corsa Electric.

In addition, the Corsa Electric Long Range is also available in entry-level Design trim for the first time. Featuring a 51kWh battery and a more powerful 156PS motor for a range of up to 248 miles (WLTP), this model starts at £30,440 OTR with GS and Ultimate trims priced at £32,625 OTR and £34,435 OTR, respectively.

James Baggott, Editor-In-Chief, Car Dealer, said: “The Corsa is a true all-rounder – it’s good to drive, looks the part, has plenty of tech and is cheap to run. It’s a hugely deserved winner of the Used Small Car category in this year’s Car Dealer Used Car Awards.”

Mike Brewer, Awards Host, Car Dealer Used Car Awards, commented: “The Vauxhall Corsa is a car that everyone has been in at one stage or another – whether it’s been the car they learnt to drive in, their first car or their friend’s car. This makes it a dealer’s dream as there’s always a customer for it.”

James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “We’re incredibly proud that the Vauxhall Corsa has been named ‘Used Small Car of the Year’ at the Car Dealer Used Car Awards. This recognition highlights the Corsa’s enduring popularity and its ability to adapt to the evolving needs of drivers. With a choice of petrol and electric powertrains, the Corsa offers something for everyone in today’s market. We are grateful to the Car Dealer judges for this recognition.”

This award follow Vauxhall’s strong performance in the 2025 Auto Express Used Car Awards, winning five awards, including ‘Overall Car of the Year’ for the Corsa Electric. In addition, the Corsa was successful at the Carbuyer Best Used Car Awards, winning both the Best Used Small Car category for the Corsa and Best Used Small Electric Car for the Corsa Electric, further demonstrating the brand’s commitment to providing exceptional value and quality to drivers.

The Vauxhall Corsa was the UK’s best-selling supermini for the third year in a row in 2023, while the Corsa Electric was the UK’s best-selling electric supermini and once again leads the sales charts in 2024 to date. The success of Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric positions Vauxhall as the leading brand for electric sales in the combined B-segment. With a fully electric version of every model, Vauxhall is leading the charge toward accessible electric mobility.
