French sports car manufacturer Alpine made waves at the 2024 Paris Motor Show by unveiling three groundbreaking new models, all marking the brand’s future direction towards electric performance. The global premieres included the Alpine A424_β concept, the modernised Alpine A310, and the all-new Alpine A290. Each model underscores Alpine’s commitment to blending performance with sustainability.

    A424_β Concept: Alpine’s Hypercar Future
Taking centre stage was the Alpine A424_β Concept, a hypercar designed to showcase Alpine’s ambitions in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Set to hit the track in 2025, this electric racer previews the next generation of high-performance cars from the brand. With a sleek, futuristic design, the A424_β boasts state-of-the-art aerodynamics and an advanced powertrain aimed at delivering extraordinary on-track performance while remaining sustainable.

As Alpine continues its journey into electric mobility, the A424_β offers a glimpse of what motorsport enthusiasts can expect from the brand in the coming years, with a clear focus on electrification without sacrificing the brand’s motorsport DNA.

    A310: A Legendary Name Reborn
Alpine also marked the return of an iconic name with the introduction of the all-new Alpine A310. A modern take on the legendary 1970s sports car, this updated version pairs the brand’s historic lightweight design philosophy with a cutting-edge electric powertrain. The new A310 promises agility and driving pleasure, with its streamlined aesthetics paying tribute to the original, while its electric underpinnings ensure it’s ready for the future.

The A310’s return has sparked excitement among fans of the original model, while also attracting new audiences keen on performance-oriented electric vehicles.

    A290: Electrifying the Everyday
Rounding out the trio of world premieres is the Alpine A290, a compact electric sports car designed for both urban use and spirited driving. With its compact dimensions and dynamic design, the A290 aims to make the thrill of sports car driving more accessible. This electric hatchback is Alpine’s answer to the growing demand for practical yet performance-focused electric vehicles, offering a blend of power, handling, and everyday usability.

The A290 is expected to appeal to a wider audience, combining Alpine’s signature driving dynamics with the practicality needed for daily life, making it an enticing option in the expanding electric vehicle market.

These three premieres highlight Alpine’s shift towards a future powered by electricity, while staying true to its roots in performance and motorsport. The brand’s ethos of bringing race-inspired technology to the road remains at the core of its strategy, with each new model embodying the essence of speed, innovation, and sustainability.
