Subaru UK Ltd has announced the recognition of its Swansea-based dealer, Celtic Subaru, at the 2024 Motor Trader Awards. The annual ceremony, held at Grosvenor House, on Park Lane in London, celebrates stand-out achievements from businesses and individuals within the UK motor industry.

Dominic Castle, Sales Manager of Celtic Subaru was awarded ‘UK’s Sales Manager of the Year’, while Celtic Subaru itself was highly commended in the ‘Franchise Dealer of the Year’ category.

Celtic’s accolades underscore the standards set by Subaru UK’s dealer network, reflecting the brand’s ongoing commitment to fostering a network that leads the way in both customer service and business innovation.

Dominic Castle – Winner Sales Manager of the Year

Dominic Castle, Sales Director at the family-run Celtic Subaru, was recognised as Sales Manager of the Year. Having joined the dealership in 2020, the judges recognised the positive impact Dominic has had on the Sales business at Celtic. With his reserves of technical knowledge and exceptional attention to detail, Castle has helped to further enhance the Subaru brand’s following in Southwest Wales. In his time with the business, he has also significantly improved used car performance – always with a total dedication to flawless customer service.

Dominic Castle said: “I am incredibly honoured to win this award and to be recognised for doing the job I love. Selling Subarus – cars that are so well built, capable, safe and reliable – is a pleasure, and is very satisfying to see more and more Subaru vehicles on the road around Swansea and Southwest Wales.”

Celtic Subaru – Highly Commended Franchised Dealer of the Year

Celtic Subaru was also Highly Commended in the Franchised Dealer of the Year category, cementing its position as one of the nation’s best automotive dealers, and a star within Subaru UK’s celebrated network. The recognition was Celtic’s sixth award in just two years, reflecting the business’ total commitment to customer satisfaction, innovative marketing, and sustained growth.

Tony Sciascia, Managing Director of Celtic Subaru, commented: “It’s always an honour to be recognised for the hard work and dedication of the Celtic team. We have a strong culture of providing excellent service and are always striving to improve. As a business we share the same values as Subaru, something that has stood us in good stead over the last few years as we’ve grown the brand in Swansea and the wider South Wales area.”

The recognition of Celtic Subaru at the Motor Trader Awards underscores the strength of Subaru UK’s dealer network. As with Celtic, Subaru dealers up and down the country are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and specialist knowledge – all with a warm, personal touch.

Lorraine Bishton, Managing Director of Subaru UK, said: “Along with the safety, quality and reliability of our cars, the dedication of our retail partners has played a crucial role in driving Subaru’s long-standing reputation for customer satisfaction.  We’re delighted Dominic, Tony and the wider Celtic Subaru team have been recognised at the industry’s leading awards event.

“Celtic is a great example of the stand-out quality that exists within the Subaru UK retail network, a business defined by a commitment to serving customers – going that extra mile to build lasting relationships – not just with individuals, but also within the communities they serve.”
