    Date: Sunday 7 September 2025
Time: Public access from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm | Vehicle displays from 8:30 am to 10:00 am
    Admission: Free for general public

Location: Barry Island Beach, South Wales – famously featured in Gavin & Stacey, just 5 miles from Cardiff

    What to Expect

Step into a nostalgic California scene with retro vibes, Californian-style attire, and an eclectic mix of pre‑1990s vehicles—air‑cooled classics, hotrods, scooters, low‑rider bikes, and early water‑cooled cars. Expect show‑and‑shine awards, independent food stalls, makers, music, merch, and of course, Barry Island’s beloved beach and amusements in the backdrop.

    Vehicle & Bike Displays

    Cars, buses & 4‑wheelers (pre‑90s vintage)

    • Application via email – submit your vehicle photo and bio (plus your Instagram handle, if you like) to be considered.

    • If accepted, you’ll receive a link to buy your display ticket (£15 per vehicle).

    • Admission for exhibitors from 8:30 am; gate closes at 10:00 am.

    Motorbikes, scooters & low-riders

    • Pay-on-the-day display fee is just £3 per bike.

    • Arrival window and gate closure same as above, with movement allowed only after 4:00 pm.

Note: Tickets for displaying vehicles are non-refundable. The event is held on a public promenade and organisers may refuse vehicles that fail to meet the event criteria—so apply early to avoid disappointment!

    Prizes & Awards

Gear up for fun awards at around 3:30 pm, including:

    • Best Split Screen

    • Best Baywindow

    • Scooter / Lowrider / Motorbike / Bus / Car categories

    • Most “Cal‑look” dude & dudette
…and more surprises to be revealed on the day

    Independent Traders & Foodstalls

    Located around the gardens area:

    • Food & drink traders (£75) – must hold at least a ‘3’ food hygiene rating

    • Artisan stalls or small traders (table only): £25

    • Gazebo hire: 3 m (£40), 4.5 m (£55), 6 m (£75)

    • Arrive from 8:00 am on the day. Booking is essential and limited spaces are available — email info@rothfink.com to secure your spot rothfink.com

    Why You Shouldn’t Miss Barryfornia

    • Totally free for visitors

    • A nostalgic, car‑loving, music‑fueled California vibe—right by the sea

    • Unique vehicle displays, artisan stalls, tasty street food

    • Central and iconic Barry Island setting—perfect for families and rev-heads alike
